On 28 March 2025, the official Pokémon TV YouTube channel began dropping episodes from Pokémon: The Johto Journeys (season 3)!
While the Pokémon TV app may have been freely available to fans across the globe, you could never really watch the episodes you wanted to, nor would you have access to full seasons as these would rotate sporadically. Despite this frustration, I still had mixed emotions when the app was shut down in March 2024 as finding episodes for the franchise was a nightmare.
When a dedicated Pokémon TV YouTube channel was announced, I was beyond excited! This meant there would always (hopefully) be an official space to access the Pokémon episodes you want to watch - and at your own pace. While the release of these may be slower than I would like, it does give you the nostalgic vibes of watching one per day, just like we did each day after school. The only difference here is that they launch episodes on weekends too!

Pokémon: The Johto Journeys - What to Expect
In this season we can expect to see the OG trio of Ash, Brock, and Misty make their way across the Johto region. They'll catch new Pokémon, make new friends, and compete in exciting battles. But what would it be if they didn't come across everyone's favorite villains, Jessie and James from Team Rocket?
Oh, and they've dropped in a brand new theme song, which is used from Don't Touch That 'dile (Season 3 Episode 1) to The Fortune Hunters.
You can start watching Season 3 below:
Without giving away my age, I stopped watching the show at around season 6 (back in 2002). So anything after that will be completely new to me - and I honestly can't wait!
What season are you most looking forward to watching?
